War Exhibition "Moved by Conflict" - Object Mounts

This moving war exhibition " Moved by Conflict" will take you from Bristol in the early 1900s through 1914–1918, to people in the city today caught up by current global conflicts.

With only a few days to go till the opening of this important social history exhibition. SMA design were asked if they could assist the in-house exhibition design team to display exhibition objects that required individual object mounts.

Although our object mount makers were already fully committed, one of our museum designers who had many years of object mounting experience came to the rescue.

All object mounts for this war exhibition were made onsite and in the museum's own workshops. There were a variety of mounts made from brass, steel and acrylic, depending on the nature of the objects to be displayed.

These gallery exhibition mounts reflected the exacting requirements of the exhibition designer.

SMA design were delighted to be able to assist this friendly and talented Bristol Museums & Galleries exhibition team. This enabled this exciting and important war exhibition "Moved by Conflict" to open its door on time.
